Welcome to the Finding Ruth blog.  

This blog is run by the author of "Finding Ruth, A Personal Story of Hitler's Secret Euthanasia Program - Aktion T4" in an effort to bring awareness to the horrors of WWII that were the euthanasia programs that attempted to eliminate persons with disabilities.

Ruth Rosa Luise Mühlmann was 20 years old when she was killed at Bernburg Psychiatric Hospital on March 31, 1941.  So effective was the Nazi cover up of her death in their secret euthanasia program, Aktion T4, that it was not until 2018 that her remaining family learned the truth of her death; she did not die at Hadamar Psychiatric Hospital 392 km from home of a bad reaction to a flu shot on April 19, 1941, but 20 days earlier and only 50 km from home. 

Come with us as we describe the journey that crisscrosses years and continents, delves into dusty documents, and pieces together bits and pieces of clues from various oral histories to unearth the true story of Ruth.
