There's a picture of Ruth from either 1931 or 1932 on what we believe to be her Christmas Break from Neinstedt Hospital. I had also found a picture from the 1931 Magdeburg Christmas Market. I would like to think Tante Ruth was able to enjoy some excursions there with her family while she was home on break. There are some excellent websites that describe the tradition of the German Christmas Markets.
I attended Mass this morning and stopped to say "Merry Christmas" to Ruth at her memorial stone I had installed in the courtyard of St. Joseph Catholic Community.
I would like to take this time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and thank you for reading my blog. I hope to have my book published in the coming New Year.
